A friend made a nice implicit function for a desert scene that resembled one of the posters from the latest star wars movies. Someone commented that all it was missing was the crashed star destroyer*.
The modeling was a test for an approach which sacrificed precision and differentiability for detail, and I think it worked out quite well. The formula was written over the course of two days at the "Cafe Email Coffee" in Shenzhen.
